Looking for Closet Sliding  (Doors that slide into each other)

or Closet Bi-Fold Doors (Doors that fold in the middle).

Trailside Handyman and Doors have got you covered!

NEW
These space-saving doors that fold in half or  slide along a track, are ideal for closets and small spaces. They typically consist of two or four panels that come together when opened, providing full access to the closet interior while taking up less floor space when open.

REPAIRS
I’ve done my share of repairing closet sliding doors and bi-fold doors.  They can be tricky to repair once they start constantly falling off.  So much that my clients will just take them off and put them in the garage.  The teens these days like to put up curtains instead -:).

However, we can fix these usually by tweaking the 2-3 components of the doors and also checking the track for damage.

Interior doors are essential components of residential homes, serving both functional and aesthetic purposes. They provide privacy, control sound transmission between rooms, and contribute to the overall design aesthetic of a house. Here are some key points about residential interior doors:

  • Functionality: Interior doors separate living spaces, bedrooms, bathrooms, and other areas within a home, offering privacy and noise reduction.
  • Materials: Common materials include wood (solid or engineered), medium-density fiberboard (MDF), fiberglass, and metal. Each material offers different benefits in terms of durability, insulation, and style.
  • Styles: Interior doors come in various styles to match different home decors, from traditional panel doors to modern flush doors and everything in between.
  • Installation Types: They can be pre-hung (come with a frame) or slab (door only), and can be installed as swinging, sliding, bifold, or pocket doors depending on space requirements and preferences.
  • Customization: Many interior doors can be customized with different finishes, hardware, and glass inserts to complement the home’s interior design.

Choosing the right interior doors can significantly impact the functionality, energy efficiency, and overall aesthetics of a residential space. Professional installation ensures proper fit and operation, enhancing the door’s performance and longevity.

EXTERIOR DOORS

Trailside Handyman repairs and installs these types of exterior doors:

  • Entry doors: Traditional single or double doors for the main entrance
  • Storm doors: Protective outer doors installed in front of entry doors
  • Patio doors: Sliding glass doors or French doors leading to outdoor spaces
  • Security doors: Reinforced doors with additional locking mechanisms for enhanced safety
  • Screen doors: Doors with mesh screens to allow airflow while keeping insects out
  • Dutch doors: Split doors that can open on top and bottom separately
  • Bi-fold doors: Folding doors that open by sliding and folding to one side
  • Fiberglass doors: Durable, low-maintenance doors resistant to weathering

Storm doors are an essential addition to many homes, providing an extra layer of protection against the elements while also enhancing energy efficiency and curb appeal. Here are some common types of storm doors:

  • Full-View Storm Doors: These doors feature a large glass panel that extends the full length of the door, allowing maximum light and visibility. They often come with interchangeable glass and screen panels for seasonal adjustments.
  • Ventilating Storm Doors: These doors have retractable screens that can be rolled up or down, allowing for easy ventilation when desired. They’re great for letting in fresh air while keeping insects out.
  • Security Storm Doors: Built with durability in mind, these doors feature heavy-duty frames and multiple locking points. They often have metal grilles over the glass for added protection.
  • Retractable Screen Storm Doors: These innovative doors have a screen that can be completely hidden when not in use, providing an unobstructed view and seamless appearance.
  • Traditional Storm Doors: These classic doors typically have a partial glass panel on top and a solid panel on the bottom. They offer a good balance of light, ventilation, and privacy.

Storm doors come in various materials including aluminum, vinyl, and wood, each offering different benefits in terms of durability, maintenance, and aesthetics. When choosing a storm door, consider factors such as climate, security needs, and your home’s architectural style to find the best fit.
